Luers Heads To State In 2A

(Walton) - Ronnie Williams ran for a touchdown and caught a pass for another and the Bishop Luers defense held Lewis Cass to 186 yards as the Knight won their first semistate since 2002 with a 14-0 win over the host Kings Friday night.

It sends the Knight to the 2A state final Friday night against either Heritage Christian or Southridge.

It was Southridge that Luers beat for the 2A title in 2002.

Quinn Schafer threw for 170 yards and the touchdown to Williams.
