FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Latest forecast models increasing expected snow amounts....
A WINTER STORM WATCH has been posted from late Saturday evening through late Sunday evening for the entire area. It is looking more likely heavy snow will fall on the region. Snow will develop a little sooner, perhaps shortly before midnight tomorrow night. The snow will continue most of the day Sunday before ending Sunday evening. Some blowing and drifting will also occur.
If nothing changes as far as the track and strength(that is always a possibility), 6-10 inches could fall in the Fort Wayne metro with higher amounts, possibly topping 10 inches for counties south of Allen. Lighter amounts will fall north, but several inches still likely to fall there. We will be very cold right after the storm moves through and next week, on the whole, will be colder than normal.
