Woman Saved From Burning Car: Still In Recovery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A woman remains hospitalized after Fort Wayne Police Officers pulled her from her burning car.

The woman was trapped in the vehicle while it was on fire on Hessen Cassel Road Sunday.

Officers shattered a window and pulled the woman out of the car, saving her life.

She was hospitalized with severe burns. Three of the four officers were slightly hurt.

The fire may have been caused by a mechanical malfunction.
