Fort Wayne, Ind (21Alive) - Last weekend he was honored nationally, now today he's recognized here at home.

Washington Township's Mark Haudenschild II was honred today at the 13th Annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial.

Every year the Fort Wayne Fire Department memorializes the sacrifice and dedication of Allen County's fallen firefighters.

Last November, Haudenschild, an assistant chief engineer for the volunteer department, died after the tanker he was driving rolled over. He was on his way to a reported grass fire.
