FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – An 18-year-old, recently charged in the shooting death of a 17-year old, is now accused of taking part in another crime.

Deadrian Boykins, 18, of Fort Wayne, is now charged with robbery, after being accused of taking part in a robbery attempt at a local hair-styling school.

The Journal Gazette, our partner in news, reports that Boykins is accused of providing inside information to his brother and another man, who are suspected of robbing "Chosen Christian Beauty and Barber College" in December.

The report claims Boykins was a student at the school when a man came in wearing a mask, holding a gun, and demanding money.

The robber left empty handed, but police tracked the getaway car and found the man, along with Boykin's brother, 19-year-old Deshawn.

According to reports, investigators later found text messages sent by Deadrian showing that he facilitated the robbery, including unlocking the doors to the school.

Boykins was arrested last week for the shooting death of Elijah Freeman. He remains in the Allen County Jail without bond.
