FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – TEDx holds its annual motivational speaking event to inspire communities to ignite change where they live.

Coming up with ideas that are worth spreading— that's the focus of the TEDx program. The program is designed to give communities, organizations, and individuals the opportunity to share big ideas at a local level, in hopes to ignite conversations that matter, which is why the theme of Fort Wayne’s TEDx event this year was "ignite."

About 200 people came out this year at Indiana Tech to listen to local speakers share their new and unique ideas.

This year, the Fort Wayne program focused on ideas related to commerce, community, and wellness. Founder Craig Crook says what he loves about Fort Wayne’s program is to see action come from those ideas.

“I think everyone's going to walk away with a different experience, so it's really personal. It could be that you connected with someone, it could be that you got fired up about an idea, perhaps you got fired up about your own idea and you said yeah, I want to do something! Maybe you met somebody that you said hey our ideas would work better together!” Crook said.

Crook says at TEDx events, you can't actually make any money, so the money they raise from ticket sales and sponsors, goes right back to the event.
