HUNTINGTON, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Baseball teams partner with Vera Bradley to take a swing at striking out breast cancer.

The Summit City Sluggers held their Third Annual Slugger's Day in Huntington Sunday afternoon. Their mission is to impact lives inside and outside the world of baseball, while also promoting awareness for breast cancer research.

Fittingly enough, the Vera Bradley foundation partnered with the Sluggers for the event. Six baseball teams came out to play, with the main event being the 17-year-old team playing a college level team.

There were also raffles, activities, and a special recognition of all breast cancer survivors who were in attendance.

All proceeds will go to breast cancer research.
