FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) --- Northeast Indiana's representative in Congress continues to express outrage about the Pennsylvania abortion doctor who is on trial for murder.

The case has struck a chord with people across the country, and it’s no different for 3rd District Congressman Marlin Stutzman.

Stutzman is staunchly pro-life, but in his mind, you don't have to subscribe to that viewpoint to have strong feelings about Kermit Gosnell and his West Philadelphia clinic.

We caught up with Stutzman Wednesday at the Thurgood Marshall Academy in Fort Wayne, where he came to see the charter school's operation firsthand.

But he is closely monitoring the jury deliberations in Pennsylvania, where Kermit Gosnell faces five counts of murder related to late-term abortions.

Testimony in the trial detailed horrendous conditions at the clinic, including toilets being stopped up by baby parts.

If there are convictions, does Stutzman support the harshest of punishments?

" He is 72 years old, so I don't know if they would go after the death penalty, but I do think it's important that we as a country realize what was going on in this abortion clinic, and that we don't allow this to happen," said Stutzman.

Stutzman also expressed concerns about the government moving the morning-after pill to over the counter, available for purchase by those 15 and older.

Stutzman believes it’s a mistake to remove parental decision making for kids that young.

Some women’s groups are continuing a court fight, claiming there should be no age limits for use of the pill.
