FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – A rock and roll benefit concert for local rock legend Rock Star Randy Miller was held Sunday afternoon at Columbia Street West.

Downtown was rockin' out for a good cause.

Local rocker Rock Star Randy Miller was recently been diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

Friends and fellow musicians held a benefit to raise funds for Randy.

“You know, it's one of those diseases that doesn't have a defined cure so there's obviously going to be some treatment options that Randy's going to be looking at. We just wanted to do as much as we can to raise some money for him and his wife, Nan, and give them some options that maybe they wouldn't have otherwise,” said Michael Morrissey who organized the event.

Those in attendance were able to rock out to the Adam Strack Band as well as Celebrity Jams all afternoon.

Organizers say door prizes and silent auction items were donated by Sweetwater, JK O'Donnell's, Pat Sheean and others.
