FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Four juveniles are behind bars after a nearly three hour standoff with city police.

Around 8:20 p.m. Saturday, officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 3300 block of Bowser Avenue in reference to an armed robbery.

The victim of the robbery says he got out of his vehicle when four young men approached him. One of them pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded the victim's personal belongings.

Police were able to track the footprints of the suspects to a residence in the 3500 block of Bowser Avenue. Officers attempted to make contact with the subjects inside the home, but the subjects refused to open the door or exit the residence.

The Emergency Services Team (EST) and Crisis Response Team (CRT) were called in to assist around 10:16 p.m. At approximately 12:36 a.m. the four subjects inside the residence finally complied and surrendered themselves to police.

Each juvenile was charged with a single count of armed robbery and transported to the Allen County Juvenile Justice Center.
