Police Chase Man Through Fort Wayne Neighborhood

Fort Wayne, Ind (21Alive) - A man runs from police, taking officers on a chase through a neighborhood near Lakeside Park.

Witnesses called police after they saw a man trying to break into a car. Once they arrived, Fort Wayne Police found a man near the vehicle. They say he had what appeared to a gun in his hand. That's when the man took off running.

The chase started in the 900 block of Tennessee Avenue, the man then went down Oneida Street and crossed Lake Avenue.

At that point, he began cutting through people's yards. After about a half a mile of running, police finally caught the man in the 1000 block of Columbia Avenue.
