FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Part of Get Fit Fort Wayne kicked off. The 3rd annual Fort4Fitness Spring Cycle was held downtown.

Over 1,000 riders pulled up to the starting line on Main Street just after 9:30 Saturday morning.

They had an option of a short 18 mile ride, a 33 mile ride, and all the way up to a long 43 mile ride, finishing at Superior and Barr Streets. The entire day revolved around community fitness.

“Today is just a great day for the community because it's all about just celebrating fitness and general wellness and we're starting the summer off with a bicycle tour and as you can see, a lot of kid activities and a festive thing with an expo and music and entertainment. Just a great day in Fort Wayne,” said Brad Kimmel, Executive Director of Fort4Fitness.

During the day, Fort Wayne food trucks were serving people food and drinks, and a kickstart-for-kids went over bike safety and information.
