Open House Shows Off Croninger's New Renovations

August 17, 2014 Updated Aug 17, 2014 at 6:14 PM EST

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Croninger Elementary School held an open house to show off its new renovations before the new school year.

The open house comes after the school underwent extensive renovations as part of Fort Wayne Community Schools Building Renovation Plan that was voted on and passed in the 2012 May Primary.

The school has been under construction since last February. Before the renovation, the school was without air conditioning. Now, along with the air conditioning, all of the classrooms, the library, and the TV studio have been updated.

Croninger Elementary Principal Carrie Kennedy says parents who took the tour of the revamped school Sunday were impressed with the changes. Kennedy says little things still need to be done, but everything will be ready when school begins on Monday.
