No Remorse From Shooter, "I'd Try Again"

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - New details emerge about a recent horrific Fort Wayne shooting.

According to court documents, 23-year-old Patrick Long told police he snapped when he confronted Radiance Upshaw, 22 and mother of his child, about her alleged infidelity last Thursday.

Long tried to shoot Upshaw in the face with his Colt .45 handgun, chasing her around her car shooting at her, aiming to empty the gun into her.

Long’s father tackled him, forcing the gun out of his hand. Long then went inside the house and got his AK47, chasing after the car unleashing an estimated 47 rounds at her, hitting her in the face, arm and chest..

Court documents said he intended to kill her. Quoting him saying he was not sorry, and that if given the chance, would try again.

Long is charged with attempted murder and is scheduled back in court Thursday.

Upshaw remains in a medically induced coma.
