Hit-and-Run Victim Dies (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A man is dead after a hit-and-run accident leaving police searching for the suspect.

The accident happened just before 2:30 Sunday morning at the intersection of Clay St. and E. Wayne St.

Officials say a resident who lives in the area heard the crash, looked outside and saw a downed motorcycle, then called 911.

Officers arrived on the scene to find Jason S. Gnagey, 27, unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Based on evidence found at the scene, police believe that the vehicle involved is a 1997-2003, Eddie Bauer Edition, Ford Expedition. The upper half is teal, the lower half is tan. Police believe there is damage to the passenger side headlight area, and possible damage to the passenger side of the truck.
