Juvenile Hit By Car (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- A boy is hospitalized after being struck by a car just before 7:00 p.m. Saturday.

The accident happened at St. Joe Boulevard and Tennessee Avenue. When Fort Wayne Police arrived they found a boy laying in the street unresponsive.

Police say witnesses claim the boy disregarded a red light and rode into the intersection, that's when he was hit by an SUV heading south on St. Joe Blvd.

The boy was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
