Lutheran Health Makes Big Splash With Job Creation Announcement

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) --It was announced today that Lutheran Hospital's parent company will be opening a "Shared Services Center" in Fort Wayne.

Indiana Governor Mike Pence was on hand at a 10:45 press conference this morning to help make the announcement with officials from Lutheran Hospital, Community Health Systems, Mayor Tom Henry, and Allen County Commissioner Nelson Peters. The new center will add up to 300 additional jobs to the area, according to the Governor.

Community Health Systems, who is the parent company of Lutheran Hospital, operates/leases over 206 hospitals in 29 states. The 300 jobs are planned to be added over a two to three year period.
