FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – As gardeners gear up for planting, our urban farmers are gearing up to raise money for their efforts.

The Garden Angels donate thousands of pounds of food each year to Community Harvest Food Bank. To celebrate their tenth anniversary, this group of Maplewood students is holding a garage sale and recycling event.

They would love to have your outdated lawn mowers, garden tillers or major appliances for recycling, and they will also be selling small engines, garden tillers, refurbished lawn mowers and vintage bicycles. They will also be a Southern cuisine sampler plate for sale for $7.

Come and help this hard-working group provide food for the hungry in our area.

The Urban Farmer garage sale will be held:
Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Lafayette Bait Store, 3511
S. Lafayette St. Monetary donations are also welcome to help this non-profit organization continue to grow fresh organic produce for low income seniors and families.
