FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Ladies had the night off as men did the cookin' to raise money for women's health issues.

Fort Wayne men donned aprons Saturday night for an annual cooking event, “Cookin' Men."

21 Alive's Curtis Smith and Tommy Schoelger were there, along with nearly 100 other local men, showing off their cooking skills for more than 1,200 guests.

Parkview Foundation hosted the fundraiser to benefit its partnership with Francine’s Friends Mobile Mammography program, which has provided over 22,000 mammograms across Northeast Indiana, as well as funded 6,500 mammograms and diagnostic tests for women in need.

"This event is a huge part of making that happen, to really making sure that gap is closed and women don't have to go guessing. If they think they have a problem, they don't have to wait, they don't have to wonder. Our program's here for them every step of the way,” said Amy Lazoff, Director of Institutional Giving for Parkview.

This is the 10th year for the event, but for the past seven years Parkview’s been in partnership with Francine’s Friends, the "Cookin' Men" event has raised nearly half a million dollars for women's health issues. Lazoff says she hopes Saturday night’s event raised at least $ 75,000.
