FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Getting a taste of Latino culture as the Hispanic Festival went on in downtown Fort Wayne.
Fort Wayne’s Latino radio station, La Unica, hosted the Hispanic Festival at Headwaters Park Sunday afternoon.
This is the third year for the festival and organizers say it grows every year. Hispanic Fest is all about celebrating and learning about the Hispanic culture.
The host of the festival says Latinos are well-known for their love of live music and dance, and they wanted to share that love with the community.
“One thing is when you listen to recorded music, but when you hear the live band, and see it and just dance to it, it's a great opportunity for people who haven't been able to experience that,” said Lupita Morales, host of “La Unica” Latino Radio.
It wasn't just local bands who performed at the festival. National bands came to the Summit City to play at the festival.
