FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – A Carroll High School sophomore is being honored in a big way.
Anneke Lehmann is the winner of the District 3 Congressional Art Competition.
Lehmann’s assignment at Carroll was to take a long exposure photo, which involves changing the shutter speed on a camera to capture moving objects, like lights, within a stable setting and creating cool effects like blurring.
She photographed the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Bridge in downtown Fort Wayne and titled it "Frozen in Time." Now her photograph will be hanging in the nation's capital for the next year.
Each Spring the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to encourage artistic talent throughout the nation.
