Crews Battle Fire Off Cook Road (With Photos & Video)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Three children and one adult are safe after escaping a blazing house fire.

Fort Wayne firefighters battled to put out heavy flames and smoke from a Fort Wayne home Saturday afternoon.

Crews got the call around 1 p.m. of a structure fire on the 6000 block Bedford Downs Drive just off of Cook Road.

When crews arrived they say heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of a mobile home. FWFD entered the home to find no one inside. Turns out, three children and one adult safely escaped without any injuries.

Firefighters had the blaze under control in 17 minutes. No word on the cause.
