FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – You could say Parkview Field went to the dogs Sunday afternoon with the first ever Bark in the Park.
For $12, a limited number of dogs were allow in and filled the lawn seats at the ball park. A portion of the pooch passes was donated to the Allen County SPCA to help continue their work in providing shelter to cats and dogs.
TinCap fans we talked to say it was a great idea to share America’s favorite past time with their four legged friends.
“I think the best part of this is the animals that have been adopted from the Allen County SPCA back here today as alumni. They are behaving great, they are enjoying company. I think it is great for Fort Wayne to be a more pet friendly city, and have more events like this. So, we are thankful to the TinCaps, thankful to the Petco Foundation, and thankful for everyone that supports the Allen County SPCA today,” said Jessica Henry with the SPCA.
Space was limited to 150 dogs, and before being admitted to the park, owners had to present an up-to-date vaccination and shot record, as well as sign a waiver form.
