FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Wednesday night, you can cheer on your favorite emergency responders as the Fort Wayne Fire and Police departments challenge each other to a softball game.

The 37th annual softball game will begin at 6pm at the Turners Sport Club's main diamond on Parnell Avenue.

The event honors fallen Batallion Chief Michael Rager and Officer Kenneth Stiverson who died serving the community.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center.

Last year, the Fire Department won 13- 12 after a ninth-inning comeback.
