FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A jury has found a young Fort Wayne mother guilty of severely abusing her infant.

Around midnight Wednesday night, the jury found 20-year-old Tiffany Otten guilty of "neglect of a dependent."

Emergency Room doctors found Otten's 7-month-old son with "two" skull fractures and required immediate brain surgery.

Otten and her boyfriend, who's also charged in the case, told investigators the child fell off a bed, then tried to blame the injury on the boy's two-year-old brother.

But experts say the injuries were consistent with a "significant amount of force."

Otten will be sentenced September 13th.
