STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) -- After seven years on the run, accused child molester Terry Wayne Waugh, Jr. has been apprehended at a Steuben County motel.

According to Indiana State Police Trooper Matt Lazooff, sometime just past midnight, the U.S. Marshall Service contacted the Indiana State Police post in Fort Wayne seeking assistance in the apprehension of 30-year-old Terry Wayne Waugh, Jr.

They indicated that Waugh had been wanted for the last seven years out of St. Joseph County on numerous counts of alleged child molesting and was recently located in a motel in the 3800 block of North State Road 127, near Pokagon State Park in Steuben County.

Authorities descended upon the motel where Waugh was staying around 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Waugh hid in a restroom at first but eventually gave himself up to authorities.

He was incarcerated at the Steuben County Jail awaiting transportation back to Joseph County where here faces four charges of Child Molesting.
