GARRETT, Ind. (21Alive) - It is a new year and new conference for Garrett High School's football team in 2014.
The Railroaders had an unfamiliar losing season in 2013, losing five of their last six games.
The entire offensive line and defensive line return as units. The experience in the trenches is where head coach Chris DePew is turning a corner for the program.
Behind the offensive line, running backs Bryit Sumner and Bo Davis look to roll the Big Train.
Last year's quarterback Noah Follett graduated, so practices will determine Garrett's new quarterback.
The Railroaders also return to the Northeast Corner Conference after playing nine seasons in the Allen County Athletic Conference.
Six of their nine regular season games are against new opponents. But the NECC rivalries are old stomping grounds and a welcomed challenge.
