CHURUBUSCO, Ind. (21Alive) - The Churubusco High School football program will be a bit of a the old and the new in 2013.
Head coach Paul Sade replaces Lee Etzler, who resigned in December. Sade was elevated from offensive line coach in the offseason, and plans to run the same Wing-T offense.
"We have to find some players to step up to fill some key positions," Sade says. "As far as the expectations of what their jobs are, they're completely familiar with this"

In the backfield, Cody Conwell assumes a big role in the Eagles' offense at running back with the graduation of Jason Nicodemus. But new beginnings in Turtle Town also mean new opportunities. While Busco will continually rush the ball, the summer has been about developing a pass threat also.
Churubusco has had three consecutive seasons of 10+ wins; but the Eagles have run into a Bishop Luers buzzsaw in sectional championship games each of the last two years. Players hope to continue their fortunes while finally getting over the hump.
"We understand that we have to follow something that we've been watching for a long time, and that we've been wanting to do," quarterback/safety Hayden Kilgore says. "It's our year to make it happen."
Busco travels to Fremont for Week 1 of the season on Aug. 23.
