FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - It's been more than a month since the Web.com Tour's Hotel Fitness Championship played Sycamore Hills Golf Club, and Trevor Immelman won the inaugural championship.

In the weeks that have followed, Sycamore has undergone a massive renovation on the course.

"A general theme is that we've got to tighten up the landing areas for the best players," Sycamore Hills Golf Club general manager Eric Schneider says. "Our golf course has very wide landing areas. People hit it longer, hit it straighter. We just want to make sure the landing areas get tightened up a little bit."

Nicklaus Golf is reconstructing all the bunkers and changing several holes. The most dramatic change comes on No. 18, where the pond is being significantly enlarged.

"We're really not touching any of the greens at this point," David Savic, Nicklaus Golf associate says. "It's more of a bunker-type renovation. Then trying to re-work some of the strategy of the golf course."

Work is being done to better the course of the world's best golfers. Sycamore Hills will host the next two Hotel Fitness Championships in 2014 and 2015.

Renovations are expected to be complete by May.
