Luers Stays Perfect: East Noble, Homestead, Columbia City, Leo March On

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Steve Kiermeier took his only two carries of the game 44 and 78 yards for touchdowns as Bishop Luers clouted previously unbeaten Indianapolis Brebeuf Friday night 47-27.

Kenny Mullen added a touchdown catch and returned a punt 50 yards for another score as the Knights, top ranked in 2A, rose to 8-0 on the year.

Three teams remain tied for the lead in the Northeast Hoosier Conference at 5-1 with wins.

A.J. Dove ran for 130 yards and two touchdowns while Jordan Miller had 144 yards on the ground with a score as East Noble rallied from a 17-0 first half deficit to down New Haven 38-24.

Cody Appenzeller had a 123 yard rushing night with two touchdowns as Homestead erased an early 7-0 deficit and rolled by Norwell 33-7.

Logan Rehrer fired four touchdown passes, two each to Ben Murphy and Thomas Delacruz and Columbia City coasted to a 31-24 win over Carroll.

Leo wrapped up the Allen County Athletic Conference title with a 49-7 win over Garrett, again led by Connor Kacsor with 200 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
