Football Player of the Week: North Side Mike Lovett - Week 6 (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - This week's 21Alive/Parkview Sports Medcine Football Player of the Week led his team to a big Summit Athletic Conference road win Friday night.

North Side quarterback Mike Lovett threw for 314 yards and 3 touchdowns and rushed for 82 yards in the Redskins' victory over Snider at Spuller Stadium.

"Everything's been going well," Lovett says. "I've been trying to complete every pass that I can; get the ball to the playmakers."

Lovett, a senior, is playing his first season at North Side after transfering from Wayne. Head coach says the it's been a solid transition for Lovett and the team.

"He's just bought in to the whole program," Hall says. "He's a phenominal kid, who loves to learn. He's very coachable. He's just been great for our program."

Lovett has already passed for 15 touchdowns and more than 1,200 yards. He has 6 touchdowns on 632 yards on the ground.
