USF Men Take First Conference Loss; Women Rise To 18-0 (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) - The Saint Francis Cougars tasted defeat for the first time in Crossroads League play Saturday when they fell to Grace at home 62-58 on late Saturday afternoon.

The Lancers, now 9-8 and 1-5 in Crossroads League play, outscored No. 14 USF 40-26 in the second half by limiting the Cougars to 37 percent shooting while shooting 54 percent.

USF, now 13-5 overall and 5-1 in CL play, slipped into a tie for first-place with Huntington.

Scott Kohne was the only USF player to reach double figure scoring with twelve12 points.

Logan Irwin led Grace with 15 points.

The top ranked USF women trailed Grace 24-13 with 9:41 to play in the first half before using a 21-8 finish that eventually led to an 84-67 win.

Brooke Ridley and Paige Frisch led Lady Cougars with 20 and 16 points respectively, with Ridley blocking five shots and Frisch hitting five three pointers.

Skylarr Shurn had 13 points and Jenelle Wilson twelve for USF, which rose to 18-0.
