FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Shut out on four hits through eight innings, the TinCaps tallied two runs in the bottom of the ninth for a 2-1 win over the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Sunday.

The Caps had not had a hit since the fourth inning when Lee Orr, slammed a one out solo home run over the right field wall.

And it was Travis Whitmore who came up with the game winning hit, an RBI single to right that sent Yeison Asencio home with the game winning run a few batters later.

The three game series and brief home stand ends Monday night.
