COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (21 Alive) - Fernando Perez doubled home two runs with two outs in the top of the seventh and final inning and the TinCaps snapped a ten game West Michigan home winning streak with a 5-4 win in the day game of a day-night doubleheader.

West Michigan rallied for a 6-5 win in eleven innings in the second game to gain a split

In the first game, Perez's possible game ending flyball turned golden for the TinCaps when West Michigan left fielder Raph Rhymes slipped and fell going for the catch.

A two run double by Dustin Peterson and an RBI single by Perez in the fifth had erased a 2-0 West Michigan lead, but the Whitecaps went ahead on the bottom of the fifth on a two run homer by Dominic Ficociello,

Then Fort Wayne got the break in the seventh to win the game.

The TinCaps rallied from a 4-0 deficit to take a 5-4 lead in the second game, but a wild pitch allowed West Michigan to tie the game, and Rhymes atoned for his Game 1 misstep with a walkoff RBI single in the bottom of the 11th to win the game.
