FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Senior Stephanie Rosado eclipsed the 1,000 point career mark, while freshman Haley Seibert drained a trio free throws with two seconds left in overtime to cement IPFW's 82-76 victory over UMKC Saturday evening at the War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne.

The Mastodons have won back-to-back games and remain perfect in the Summit League at 2-0. The 'Dons are now 4-4 overall this season. UMKC drops its second-straight road game and moves to 5-4 (0-2, SL) in 2011.

Despite a slow start, IPFW jumped out to a 10-7 lead after Anne Boese found an opening in the corner and hit an uncontested three-pointer. UMKC fought back and put together a 10-2 run late in the half to take a six-point lead at 29-23.

IPFW didn't go away before the break, as Boese scored a layup, followed by a Seibert trey to help engage a 6-0 Mastodon run with under a minute left until halftime. UMKC took a four-point lead of 32-28 at intermission.

In a physical and gritty second half, Rosado tied the contest at 35-35 after draining two free throws, sending her name into the IPFW record book in the process with over 1,000 career points.

With UMKC up two at 55-53 with 3:51 remaining in the game, Seibert once again came up big for IPFW, as the freshman picked up a defensive rebound, drove the length of the floor and finished with a layup to even the contest at 55-55.

Tied at 63-63, Erin Murphy took her defender off the dribble on the perimeter and scored a layup with seven seconds left in the game. After a timeout, UMKC's Dayon Hall-Jones stormed down the court and netted a layup to force contest into overtime.

In the extra frame, Rosado opened the frame with a three-pointer, then hit a pair of free throws with 10 seconds left to put IPFW in front 79-73. UMKC's Elise O'Connor followed quickly a three-pointer with four seconds remaining, cutting the 'Don lead to three.

On the ensuing in-bound pass, Seibert retrieved the ball in the halfcourt and was intentionally fouled. Following the play, UMKC received a technical foul, sending Seibert to the line to shoot four free throws. She drained three of four attempts to seal the Mastodon victory, 82-76.

Rosado led the 'Dons with 23 points and five rebounds. She has scored in double figures in the last three games. Murphy matched a career-high with 21 points, totaling a career-best nine rebounds, as well. Seibert recorded a career-best 13 points off the bench, while Boese scored 13. IPFW had a great afternoon at the line, shooting 88% (30-34).

Head coach Chris Paul and the Mastodons will return to the floor on Dec. 6, when they travel across state to face Valparaiso. Tip-off is set for 8:05 p.m. EST.
