Rob Henry Named Purdue Starting QB (VIDEO)

WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (21 Alive) . - Purdue head coach Darrell Hazell has announced the Rob Henry will start at quarterback for the Boilermakers in the opener on August 31 at Cincinnati.

A fifth-year senior from Ocala, Fla., Henry has appeared in 22 career games with seven starts.

As a sophomore in 2010, Henry became the only player in school history to lead the Boilermakers in passing (996) and rushing (547) yardage in a season. He was named a co-captain and the starter prior to the 2011 campaign, but tore his ACL a week prior to the opener against Middle Tennessee State and missed the entire year.

He appeared in 11 of Purdue’s 13 games last season, completing 21 of 38 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 74 yards on 28 carries with one score.
