UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Norwell grad Jarrod Parker is days away from, his first regular season start with the Oakland Athletics.

The former Knights pitching ace was pulled from his start with Triple A Sacramento in the third inning Saturday night, and it was not due to either injury or ineffectiveness.

Manager Bob Melvin says Parker will be recalled to start on Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox, in what would be his first appearance in the American League.
