INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Three second half touchdowns helped the Bishop Luers Knights pull away for a 26-14 win over North Putnam Friday night, winning their ninth state football title and eighth under coach Matt Lindsay.

Kenny Mullen ran for a seven yard score late in the second quarter following an interception by younger brother Kendrick Mullen for a 7-0 halftime Luers lead.

Touchdown runs by Michael Rogers and Deangelo Fincher helped Luers move to a 20-0 lead in the third quarter, and after North Putnam finally got on the board, Everett Green's 39 yard run to the end zone with a recovered fumble put it away for the Knights.

Caleb Vondersaar shined in defeat for North Putnam with three pass interceptions.
