Luers, Canterbury Stay On Path To Return To State (With Video), Other Sectional Scores

UNDATED (www.incnow.tv) - Bishop Luers and Canterbury stayed on course for returns to state in girls basketball with sectiona title victories Saturday night.

Luers pitched a 35-0 shutout of South Adams in the first half of the 2A Bluffton Sectional final and ended up with a 54-13 win over the Starfires.

Allison Butler and Taya Andrews led Luers with twelve points each.

The Lady Knights, sectional winners for the sixth straight year, meet Westview next week in the Rochester Regional.

Canterbury rolled to its tenth straight sectional crown by pounding Bethany Christian 87-34 led by the 20 points of Darby Maggard and Alliyah Gaines in the 1A Canterbury Sectional final.

The Lady Cavs go to Caston next week for another meeting with West Central.
