Luers, Adams Central, Wayne, Homestead Reach Sectional Finals

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Bishop Luers, Adams Central; Wayne, and Homestead chalked up sectional semifinal game wins Friday night.

Jaylon Smith tallied twelve points and Dwight Richards hit a tie breaking jumper with 1.5 seconds left to lift Luers past Bluffton 46-44 at the 2A South Adams Sectional.

Keith Cochran had twelve points and Chandler Prible eleven for the Tigers.

Luers will meet Adams Central, a 67-45 big winner over South Adams in the other semifinal, in the championship game on Monday night.

Dalton Combs had 25 points and Maverick Baumer eleven for the winning Jets, while Scott Hoeppner led South Adams with twelve.

At the 4A Huntington North Sectional, Kendan Lewis had 21 points and Justin Mitchell 13 as Wayne took down Jay County 51-42 in one semifinal.

Kegan Comer led the Patriots with 16.

Waiting for Wayne in the final Saturday night will be Homestead, who pulled away for a 64-48 win over Huntington North as Zach Terrell hit for 22 points and Nick Gamble 14.

Noah Reed had 16 to top Huntington North.
