FORT WAYNE, ind. (21 Alive) - Jonathan Hazen's goal with 1:46 gone in overtime gave the Cincinnati Cyclones a 4-3 win over the Komets Sunday night and a three games to two lead in their ECHL Kelly Cup Eastern Conference semifinal playoff series.
It was the third straight game in the series to go to overtime, all of them in Fort Wayne, and the Cyclones won two of those decisions.
Goals by Dean Oeullet and Shawn Szydlowski a minute 25 seconds apart in the second period lifted the K's to a 2-1 lead after forty minutes.
And then after Cincinnati had tied the game early in the third, Kaleigh Schrock appeared to have won it for the Komets with his goal with just under four minutes remaining.
But Cincinnati's Josh Birkholz would tie it just 22 seconds later, sending the game to overtime where Cincinnati prevailed.
Game 6 of the series is Tuesday night in Cincinnati.
