Komets Get Welcome Win At Home

FORT WAYNE (www.incnow.tv) - Matt Firman popped in a pair of goals and added an assist to pace the Komets to their 7-2 win over the Cincinnati Cyclones Saturday, much to the delight of 7,484 Komets fans eager to see a good performance by their team at home.

John Dunbar added a goal and two assists and Brett Smith and Kaleigh Schrock each had a goal and an assist as the Komets never trailed, settling the issue with four third period goals.

Other scores came from Matt Syroczynski, his first since rejoining the team, and Scott Kishel.

Charlie Effinger turned back 34 of 36 Cincinnati shots for the win in goal.

The Komets next see action Wednesday night at Colorado, the first of three straight games there and five straight in a row overall on the road.
