Komets Finish Off Reading, Advance In ECHL Playoffs (VIDEO)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21 Alive) - Aaron Clarke converted a perfect pass from Christian Ouellet for the game winning goal with 6:45 gone in the second overtime Sunday night and the Komets beat the Reading Royals 2-1, eliminating the ECHL defending champs and Eastern Conference top seed in five games in the opening round of the playoffs.

The Komets will now face the winner of the Cincinnati-Greenville series, which plays its sixth game on Tuesday night with Greenville a 3-2 series leader.

Dean Ouellet had the other Komet goal early in the first period and the K's had to weather a five minute major penalty in the final minute of regulation and the first few minutes of the first overtime.
