IPFW Men Stumble At NDSU, Women Top Bison (VIDEO)

UNDATED (21 Alive) - It was a loss for the IPFW men and a win for the women Saturday in basketball meetings with North Dakota State.

The men dropped into a tie for second in the Summit League standings after a 69-58 loss at North Dakota State, which took over the league lead by themselves.

The Mastodons were led by Steve Forbes who scored 17 points, while Luis Jacobo put in a dozen.

The loss drops IPFW to 18-8 on the season, and into a tie for second in the Summit League standings with South Dakota State at 6-3 in league play, a half game ahead of Denver.

The Mastodons return home to take South Dakota on Thursday.

At the Gates Center on Saturday, the IPFW women downed North Dakota State 57-51 in the Mastodons’ seventh annual Pink Out game.

The win moves the ‘Dons into sole possession of the third spot in the Summit League standings, 12-11 overall and 5-4 in league play.

Amanda Hyde led IPFW with 19 points, while Haley Seibert added 17.
The ‘Dons head out for the final road series of the season, beginning with South Dakota on Thursday.
