FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Nate Wolters scored a game high 30 points as South Dakota State swept the regular season series with IPFW by beating the Mastodons, 80-64 on Thursday night.

The win was the first ever for South Dakota State in Fort Wayne.

IPFW's normally consistent 3-point and free throw shooting let them down in the game. The 'Dons, who averaged eight 3-pointers a game, hit just five. IPFW also came into the game ranked 7th in the nation in free throw shooting, but converted just 11 of 20 attempts.

Frank Gaines topped IPFW with 17 poins and Zach Plackemeier added 14.

The Mastodons, who fell to fifth place in the Summit League behind South Dakota State with the loss, will close out their home season against North Dakota State on Saturday.
