Heritage Snags ACAC Title Share, "Busco Retains NECC Crown, Luers Thrashes Dwenger

UNDATED (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Heritage rolled to a piece of the Allen County Athletic Conference football title, Churubusco won the Northeast Corner Conference crown again, and Bishop Luers slammed Bishop Dwenger to keep the Bishop's Trophy with Friday night vvictories.

Wil Knapke ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns and had 108 receiving yards with a score as Heritage rolled over Garrett 56-20 to claim a share of the ACAC title with the Railroaders. Jacob Roop also rushed for two scores and Connor Sheehan passed for three touchdowns. Leo can make it a three way title share with a win over Bluffton on Saturday.

Jason Nicodemus carried Churubusco to its fourth straight NECC title with 217 rushing yards and all five touchdowns of the Eagles 38-16 win over Lakeland in a battle of unbeaten teams.

Jaylon Smith and Jaquale Cooper each ran for two scores in Bishop Luers' 58-21 romp over Bishop Dwenger. D'Marcus Moore and Ryan Cinadr each ran for scores for the Saints, who hurt themselves with four turnovers.
