Former IPFW Star Leads Maine Win Over Mad Ants (VIDEO)

PORTLAND, Maine (21 Alive) - Former IPFW standout Frank Gaines burned the Mad Ants with 30 points in leading the Maine Red Claws to a 115-104 win over Fort Wayne Saturday night.

Gaines, IPFW men's basketball's all time leading scorer, included a 17 for 21 night at the free throw line in his effort, and raised his D-League scoring average past 19 points a game.

Trey McKinney-Jones led the Mad Ants with 23 points while Ron Howard had 21 and Tony Mitchell 19.

The Ants return to action on Friday at Canton.
