Concordia Reaches Boys State Basketball Finals For First Time (With Video)

HUNTINGTON (www.incnow.tv) - Concordia won its first ever trip to the boys state basketball finals Saturday with a 68-63 overtime win over Andrean at the 3A semi-state at Huntington North.

The Cadets had a roller coaster trip to the win, falling behind by four after one quarter, rallying to lead by five at the half, then falling behind by seven after three quarters.

But they outscored Andrean 19-12 in the final period to force overtime in a 54-54 deadlock, and then rode forward Brian gremaux in the overtime to gain the win and state finals berth.

The seventh ranked Cadets were led by the 20 Points of D,J. McCall, with Marq Rogers adding 15, Gremaux 13, and Thmas Starks ten.

Sam Toporski led the third ranked 59ers with 20.

Concordia will meet second ranked Greensburg for the 3A state title next Saturday at 6pm at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, a game that will be seen live on NBC33.
