Carroll Homers Top Homestead In Key NHC Baseball Battle

FORT WAYNE (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Zach Vanlandingham belted a grand slam homer and Peyton Lengacher a three run shot as Carroll used the long ball to top Homestead 10-5 and take control of the Northeast Hoosier Conference baseball race.

Jeremy Shelmadine and Austin Keathly had solo shots for the Chargers, who moved to 6-0 in the NHC and into sole possession of first place with one league game remaining.

Brandon Soat and Cody Appenzeller homered for Homestead.
