FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - Former LPGA Tour golfer Amanda Blumenherst returned to Fort Wayne on Wednesday for her annual clinic.

Blumenherst was at McMillen Park to teach kids in the Lifetime Sports Academy the basics of the game.

Blumenherst has spent the last five years on the tour, but is taking this year off due to pregnancy. She and her husband, Oakland Athletics--and former Fort Wayne TinCap--Nate Freiman await their first child.

The time off the tour has given Blumenherst more time to teach the game she loves and that has been a major part of her life.

Blumenherst says she remains open to the idea of returning to the LPGA Tour, but for now she is content with focusing on being a soon-to-be new mom.
